 It's was all fun and excitement at the Eko Atlantic City as Kenya's Bernard Sang won the 24 edition of the Lagos City Marathon. Sang finished 9th and 3rd at the Lagos City Marathons in Years 2020 and 2023 respectively. He braced the tape at 2hrs 15mins. His compatriots, Cheprot and Edwin Kiptoo finished in second and third positions respectively. The winner of the race will be going home with a cash reward of $50,000 US dollars amongst other exciting prices.

A chopper transporting Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings has crashed and killed him as well as about 5 others in California. Sources said the chopper was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night. The US government confirmed all onboard dead. Six passengers were onboard, however, no survivors found so far. Wigwe, wife, son, Abimbola Ogunbajo in chopper crash Herbert Wigwe, the group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc, was involved in a helicopter crash in the United States, on Friday, TheCable understands.    Russian man identified as “Viktor,” who allegedly stormed into a hair salon in the town of Meshchovsk waving a pistol and demanding money. The owner of the shop was a “delicate” 28-year-old woman by the name of Olga. A Woman and her two children have been confirmed dead after a car rammed into them in the Ajamgbadi area of Lagos State. The accident occurred on Saturday around 8:30 pm at 77 Bus Stop Shibiri Imude Road, Ajamgbadi. The 29-year-old driver of the ash-coloured Toyota Camry with registration number BDG-55IHG, who is also a mechanic, one Oluwatimilehin Olajide, was said to have fled the scene of the accident after a mob attempted to lynch him, and ran to a nearby police post.
