Fanfare as Lagos Marathon ends

 It's was all fun and excitement at the Eko Atlantic City as Kenya's Bernard Sang won the 24 edition of the Lagos City Marathon. Sang finished 9th and 3rd at the Lagos City Marathons in Years 2020 and 2023 respectively. He braced the tape at 2hrs 15mins. His compatriots, Cheprot and Edwin Kiptoo finished in second and third positions respectively. The winner of the race will be going home with a cash reward of $50,000 US dollars amongst other exciting prices.

A chopper transporting Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings has crashed and killed him as well as about 5 others in California. Sources said the chopper was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night. The US government confirmed all onboard dead. Six passengers were onboard, however, no survivors found so far. Wigwe, wife, son, Abimbola Ogunbajo in chopper crash Herbert Wigwe, the group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc, was involved in a helicopter crash in the United States, on Friday, TheCable understands. Wigwe, his wife and son were in the helicopter when it crashed in California near the Nevada border, as well as Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group). Six passengers were onboard, however, no survivors found so far.
