How Onitsha Lesbian Killed Her Partner’s Husband 

  More facts have emerged about the stabbing to death of Ikechukwu Onuma, an Onitsha-based public servant, who was killed on Tuesday night by his wife’s lesbian partner. Sources have hinted that, upon extensive investigation, that  contrary to reports in the media, the man did not catch his wife red-handed with the suspected murderer in a sexual act. Findings showed instead that Ikechukwu, young staff of the College of Health, Onitsha, who was in his mid-30s, and had just been  married for three years, was also aware that his wife was a lesbian. Nigerian novelist Biyi Bandele is dead

  Novelist, playwright, and filmmaker, Biyi   Bandele , has died. A statement released by his family on Monday said he died on Sunday in Lagos. He was 54. Temi Bandele, the deceased’s daughter who issued the statement on behalf of the family, described him as “a prodigiously talented writer and film-maker, as well as a loyal friend and beloved father.” “He was a storyteller to his bones, with an unblinking perspective, singular voice and wisdom which spoke boldly through all of his art, in poetry, novels, plays and on screen. He told stories which made a profound impact and inspired many all over the world. His legacy will live on through his work. “He was taken from us much too soon. He had already said so much so beautifully, and had so much more to say. “We ask everyone to please respect the privacy of his family and friends as we grieve his loss,” the statement read. Fashion designer Issey Miyake has died. He was 84. Born in Hiroshima Prefecture, he graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo. Miyake moved to Paris and studied fashion designs in haute couture.He was awarded France’s Legion of Honour, the highest French order of merit, in 2016. Renowned for his very graphic clothes, and a pleat that has become famous, Issey Miyake liked to mix plastic arts and fashion. In particular, he used the technique of origami, the art of folding paper, to create collections with very recognizable volumes and structures.

Ex-IGP Tafa Balogun Is Dead

Family sources confirmed the death of Balogun, who became IGP in March 2002, to Daily Trust on Thursday night, but did not go into details. Born on August 8, 1947 at Ila-Orangun in Osun State, Tafa Balogun, was the 21st Inspector-General of Police. He was a member of cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Course 3. Having worked in  various Police commands throughout the federation, and earning his promotions as at when due, Tafa, was at a time, the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to former Inspector-General of Police, Muhammadu Gambo, Deputy Commission of Police Edo State, the pioneer Commissioner of Police in Delta State. He was also CP in Rivers and Abia states. Uduak-Abasi Akpan Sentenced To Death For Murder Of Iniubong Umoren

 An Akwa Ibom State High Court presided over by Justice Bassey Nkanang on Thursday, August 4, sentenced Uduak-Abasi Akpan to death by hanging for murdering a job seeker, Iniubong Umoren, Uduak-Abasi Akpan had lured Iniubong Umoren out of her home with a fake job interview, raped and killed her in April in the outskirts of Uyo. He later buried her remains in a shallow grave in his (Akpan) family house where the crime took place. Uduak-Abasi Akpan had in his confessional statement said: "I first used condom to have sex with Iniubong Umoren and later removed the condom because I did not enjoy the sex. She became infuriated and I reached out to a stabilizer and a box iron and used it to hit her abdominal part and started to bled. I hit her again and she screamed. I used her jean trousers and strangled her and she became lifeless."   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, a wanted person. EFCC in a statement on Wednesday, August 3, called on members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to contact the anti-graft agency. "Wanted by the EFCC: Ismaila Mustapha. Anyone with useful information as to his whereabouts should contact the EFCC or the nearest police station," the brief statement read
